George Nelson (1908-1986) is an american architect, author, furniture designer, amateur photographer, provocateur and promoter of modernism.

The name of George Nelson is associated with Coconut Chair, Marshmallow Sofa, Ball Clock and other iconic pieces, shaped the American design scene following World War II. During his career, in collaboration with a team of associates, Nelson produced a huge amount of work. Hundreds pieces of furniture, buildings, exhibitions, and graphic designs, and also a dozen books and over 150 magazine articles.
